At Bright Life Preschool we do not limit ourselves to a single philosopher, educational pioneer, or theorist; we are always open-minded to incorporating a blend of traditional and progressive techniques into daily activities. Our name Bright Life attests to our priority to teach lifelong skills like problem-solving, social interactions and simply cleaning. These are all skills that will bring about not just a great learning experience, but lifelong confidence and happiness. As Bright Life molds young minds, we always keep in mind Piaget, Erikson, and fraud's theories on the "ages and stages" of learning. Children learn specific concepts around a specific age, learning in stages, each concept scaffolds to the next.  

          Every child is different, every child learns differently, so we allow for flexibility in our curriculum and apply the most beneficial learning strategy for each individual child. This is promoted by a child-centered emergent curriculum and a play-based program; we observe and adapt to the child's needs and interests. This means as we observe we are not just looking for skills that need work or that have been mastered but the child’s interests and adjust our future curriculum. For example, if we notice a “hot topic” in the class is dinosaurs, we will center the next week around the theme of dinosaurs. Or if an individual child loves rocks, we will do that child’s 1:1 time counting and categorizing rocks.

          Bright Life Preschool takes your child’s skills and interests, then plans and implements various activities to promote growth physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
