Hello friends,
           I am the owner and teacher of Bright Life Preschool. My name is Vanessa McAllister. I am married to David McAllister; together we have two young boys. We are a military family and moved to South Bend about 3 years ago after living in Japan. While in Japan I taught kindergarten and First grade at the YML English School. I was also head administrator over their English Elementary Academy, overseeing teachers, testing, accreditation, hiring, training, payroll, and parent-teacher communication. 
          Prior to living abroad, I began my teaching career working as a Gross motor skills specialist teaching music and movement, Yoga, tap, ballet, jazz, gymnastics, and everything in between. I would go to 20+ schools a week teaching children these skills and aiding their gross motor development, raising their confidence,  and building great relationships.
         While teaching these classes I fell in love with the preschool age group. I went to school and earned my degrees, Associate in Science: Early Childhood Education, and Associate in Arts- Liberal Arts: Social and Behavior Studies, along with numerous certificates including Master Teacher and Site Supervisor.
         With this education and experience, I have taught well over 600 students, 40 schools (5 school full-time lead positions), and have loved every child and family I have had the pleasure to serve! Teaching is my true passion and I would be honored to be apart of your child's preschool years. Please never hesitate to reach out, ask questions.
